Tribe Name:
Banu-Salim is a Baggara tribe from the White Nile and Kordofan area in Sudan. They are the only Baggara on the White Nile and they are affiliated to the arab Juhayna tribe, and they are divided into two branches: Umm Tarif (Tarif) and Umm Mahboub. Abu Kalam and their mayor, Al-Zain Musa, was succeeded by his son, the current mayor Nasr Al-Din (2005 AD), including the children of Sheikh Saeed, Sheikh Al-Nur, the Caliph Maqbool, and Sheikh Jawdat Al-Salimi.

بنو سليم قبيلة من بقارة النيل الأبيض وكردفان وهم البقارة الوحيدون علي النيل الأبيض وينتسبون إلى جهينة ، وينقسمون إلى فرعين : أم طرف (طريف) وأم محبوب وتقع منطقتهم جنوب الأحامدة والجمع ويمتد وطنهم إلى كاكاي حدود الشلك ويتبعون نظارة البقارة تحت رئاسة ناظر الجمع من بيت عساكر أبو كلام وكان عمدتهم الزين موسي وخلفه أبنه العمدة الحالي نصر الدين (2005م) ومنهم أولاد الشيخ سعيد والشيخ النور الخليفة مقبول والشيخ جودات السليمي .
